Our story

We built Khora for the walk, and for one very good dog.

Khora is a dog-walking app that maps the good walks — the sniff stops, the dog-friendly corners, the routes worth showing up for — so every walk feels like a local one, wherever you are.

Sniff global, bark local.

Most maps treat a walk like a line between two points. Dogs don't. A good walk is a string of small decisions — where to sniff, where there's water, where dogs are welcome and where the pavement gets loud. Khora captures that, then hands it to you ready to go.

We never build a route on the fly. Every walk is pre-made and cached — by dogs and owners who've actually walked it — so it's ready before you are, even with no signal and no plan.

How trust is built

Every route earns its badge.

A route doesn't arrive verified — it climbs there. The community builds it, walkers confirm it on the ground, and locals give it the final nod. And when something isn't tagged yet, we say so, rather than faking completeness.

Someone maps the route and its sniff stops. It's on the map, but nobody's vouched for it yet.

Walkers have followed it for real and confirmed the turns, the stops and the surface hold up.

Locals who know the streets give it the final nod. This is the goal — a walk you can trust in a place you don't know.

For Woody

The dog who taught us what a good walk is.

Khora is a tribute to Woody — a dachshund who spent sixteen years teaching us that the walk is the point. He was a small dog with a big map: Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, the Netherlands, Malta, Italy and the UK, one sniff at a time.

He jumped on the snow mountains of a Tallinn winter. He swam in the freshwater of Lake Peipsi and in the blue sea off Malta. And in London, he sniffed his way around Tower Bridge like a perfect local gentleman — the same feeling we want every walk on Khora to have.

He loved all of it. This app is our way of keeping his walks going — mapping the good ones so more dogs and their people get to feel like locals, everywhere.

Where Woody walked

Seven countries, one nose to the ground.
Where we started

London first. Because it's where the last walks happened.

We're building Khora borough by borough across London — Greenwich, Richmond, Hampstead and out from there — mapping the walks Woody would have loved. Once the map here feels truly local, we'll take it to the next city, and the next.
